FC Barcelona (Away 2012/13)

Without doubt Barcelona-Milan is the game of the week. Having already looked at both teams’ home shirts for this season, let’s look at their away ones.

I cannot help but think that Barca could not decide on an alternate jersey: Should we use orange like in 1992 or go back to neon-yellow like we did in 2009? Both colors have been used on Barca’s away shirts and probably more frequently than most others (with the possible exception of green). But combining them into one shirt? And having one on top (orange) and one on bottom (yellow)? That is a bad choice. It looks funny and screams helplessness. If it was in either color (or even striped) I think it would be acceptable, but this is just half assed.

The only “cool” feature are the blaugrana stripes running down on the sides (hard to see on the pictures) and on the back of the collar.

Dear Nike, please re-do. FC Barcelona would for once deserve a great set of home and away jerseys.
