Like last year, Borussia Dortmund is treating us with a Champions League home jersey. While some may think this may be to have another long run into the latter stages of the tournament, the true factor is for sure economically. German soccer fans like to buy jerseys!
First things first: the jersey looks a lot better than last year. In fact it has a classic BVB-feel to it. The yellow jersey features a black shirt collar with V-opening and has black sleeves with yellow Puma logos and black bands towards the trim. From the sleeves two thin black stripes are running down the sides. What the pictures is not showing is that these are reflective and thus look silver under flood-lights. Nice gimmick, but relatively unnecessary. Things on the front are well arranged and I particular like that the two stars on the crest are now centered. The sponsor, however, still shines in pink.
The back is rather straightforward with the same yellow and black pattern however without the reflective stripes. Names and numbers are applied in black.
I like the classic look and think this is a very representative Dortmund jersey. Better than any of the last season.
